Rebuilding Memories
I’m beyond excited to share more of the images from my session featuring Shana. New followers may recognize her as the first subject of my recent Femme Fatale Files series. Though those of you who have followed along from the beginning will already know Shana as my spokesmodel for my former boudoir photography business in Las Vegas, Haute Shots. Shana holds a significant place in my journey as a photographer — and in my heart as a dear friend.
A lot has changed since Shana was my spokesmodel for Haute Shots. I first started my Haute Shots business back in 2009. After losing my entire website in 2022 (and so much of my focused online presence with Facebook more recently — aargh), I recently decided to rebrand and start anew under my own name.
This new identity reflects my commitment to empowering women through photography — whether it's boosting their confidence with boudoir sessions, enhancing their careers with professional headshots and personal branding, or creating the story of their lives visually, by capturing their legacy with beautiful portraits.
Shana and I began working together around 2012, when she was pursuing fitness and health while she was also running the very popular YouTube channel, Thrifter’s Anonymous. I believe Shana was an original “influencer” before “that” even became a thing and together we created so much amazing content! All of which was lost along with my website. Not just imagery, but the words that contained so much excitement for what we were accomplishing together! Those were the days!
Fast forward to today, and Shana still leads a healthy lifestyle, but now she’s also a proud mom. Reuniting for this session in Jersey City felt incredibly special as we got to see the women we’ve each grown into over the years. And I think we have only gotten better with age! This ended up being one of my favorite shoots together because the whole experience seemed to really cement the new, exciting chapters of our lives.
Our day was filled with laughter, creativity, and a deep sense of connection. We explored various looks & poses in this awesome studio in Jersey City. We ran all over that place in the short amount of time we had allotted, utilizing each chair, nook and cranny, quickly matching each others pace, working fluidly together. Each photograph is a testament to the wonderful bond we share and the growth we've experienced.
