Recently, I've embarked on a journey that has deepened my appreciation for the simplicity and intimacy of studio photography.

When I transitioned from photographing my Haute Shots boudoir sessions in the ever-changing landscapes of Las Vegas hotel rooms to the more serene setting of a New York studio, I had my reservations. In Las Vegas, each new hotel room offered a fresh backdrop and a unique atmosphere. I worried that a studio might lack the same excitement and diversity. What I discovered, however, has been nothing short of transformative.

In a studio, it’s just me, the camera, and my subject. There are no elaborate backdrops or distractions - just pure focus on the individual in front of me. This environment has allowed me to connect with my subjects on a much deeper level. It’s here, in this minimalistic setting, that I’ve found the true beauty of portrait photography.

The recent studio session pictured here was no exception. I loved getting to know and work with this absolute goddess who is also new to the city. She is looking for work in content creation so if you know of anything let me know and I can pass it along. But, I also think she belongs in front of a camera! My goodness! A model agency needs to sign this woman, pronto!

This beauty had done some photography sessions before and was surprised how quickly and efficiently I worked. My experience behind the camera, spanning over a decade, has given me the ability to see all the details that I used to have to concentrate on individually as a new photographer.
