I’ve spent fifteen years watching women walk into a room one way and leave another — a blossoming that comes through the eyes of someone who truly sees them.

That’s the work. Helping women see themselves with power, presence, and depth.

Along the way I spent years teaching other photographers what I'd figured out the hard way. The women in front of my lens were always the lesson.

I built my photography practice in Las Vegas, lost everything that needed losing, and started over in New York City

I’m still doing the same work. I just understand it even better now.

The Work in Motion

The Reel: The first video isa sizzle reel from Las Vegas — a glimpse of the work as it was then. At the heart of it, it’s still what I do today. Helping women see themselves in a different light, through all the different moments of a life. The challenging ones. The celebratory ones. The ones that change everything. We came close to a reality show with OWN, the Oprah Network as well as with Lifetime. I still wonder sometimes what would have happened. Then I think it was probably for the best.

The Woman: The second one is from the client’s perspective. Bethany and I sat down after her shoot to talk through the whole day — the studio, the streets of New York, the makeup chair, the dancing. Twenty minutes of what it actually looks like when a woman goes through this. The reveal at the end is the part I keep coming back to. She brought her mother's photograph. There's a yellow ribbon. I won't say more than that. You'll understand when you get there.

The Fantasy: The third one I made because I wanted to show what it feels like to discover photography — not as a service, not as a product, but as a secret world you stumble into. A woman shopping with her husband sees a red velvet curtain in the back of a store. She goes through it. What follows is cinematic and a little sexy and (because I can’t help myself) funny at the end. This one is pure invention. I loved making it.

We all know she can create magic with her photographs, but part of the experience is the time she spends with you. You're nervous as hell, you haven't eaten for weeks, and you're about to get naked.
