Ushering in Fall Fashion
New York City summers are known for their heat and humidity, and this year has been no exception. With the air so thick you could cut it with a knife, it’s no wonder we’re all eagerly anticipating the cool, crisp days of fall. So, even though the temperature is still soaring, I got a head start on fall fashion 2024 in this recent photo session set, continued from the last post.
The model, Fi Yang, wore an outfit that perfectly captures the essence of autumn. The rich, warm tones in the look made it clear that fall is just around the corner, and I couldn’t wait to capture that seasonal vibe. The outfit struck the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort, with just a hint of edgy elegance. So chic.
At a certain point, while working through this set together, I looked at Fi with her haunting beauty and imagined that if she had been wearing a corset over this look she would have been a perfect fit for the Spring 2024 Couture Show by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. The hat was reminiscent of Leon Dame’s opening look, and the color and pinstripes reminded me of this show, too!
Despite the heat outside, this shoot was a refreshing reminder of the beauty that comes with the change of seasons. It was a celebration of the upcoming fall and all the gorgeous fashion that comes with it. I think we’re all ready to trade in the sticky summer days for the textures, colors, accessories and layers of cooler weather. I know I am!
