Savoring the City: Cafe Chelsea

So, let's talk about Café Chelsea – my latest obsession in the concrete jungle of New York City. It’s a fabulous French restaurant nestled in the historic Hotel Chelsea, exuding a vibe that's as cool as it is inviting. Yep, that's the spot.

Nestled within the historic walls of the renowned Hotel Chelsea, Café Chelsea holds a unique place in New York City's culinary landscape. Originally opened in 2023, this French-inspired eatery quickly became a beloved fixture in the vibrant neighborhood.

Hotel Chelsea itself boasts a rich history dating back to 1884, known for its artistic ambiance and iconic residents, including Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, and Andy Warhol. Over the years, the hotel has served as a creative sanctuary and gathering place for artists, writers, and musicians, embodying the bohemian spirit of New York City. With Café Chelsea now adding its own chapter to the hotel's legacy, visitors can experience a blend of tradition and modernity, where culinary excellence meets artistic innovation in the heart of Chelsea.

Side note: The night we were there, Timothée Chalamet was just outside filming the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown.

Now, I'm no stranger to good food and charming hosts, but Café Chelsea took it to a whole new level. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and charm that made us feel right at home. Sure, maybe the host compliments everyone, but it's the little things that count, right?

And oh, the food! Every dish we ordered was a winner. Seriously, if you ever find yourself there, you've got to try the Ravioles du Dauphiné hors d’oeuvres and the Spaghetti au Citron Meyer (OMG!). Trust me, you won't regret it.

So, here's the kicker – the host suggested we become regulars. And you know what? It just might work! I'm already dreaming up excuses to go back for more.

Who's up for some dinner and lunch dates at Café Chelsea? I'm game if you are.

P.S. If you are looking for a really cool hotel location for your boudoir shoot, check out Hotel Chelseas Apartments and Suites.
